Anyone know if Boston Herald Radio is still creating programming, or is it now defunct?
The truth be told, why would anyone pay for any general so-called major newspaper anymore? Online, yes, hard print though, not so much!BHR was eliminated shortly before the sale to the venture capital firm. Tom Shattuck came up with the idea and brought the concept to Herald ebitor Joe Sciaccia who loved the idea. Part of the plan was actually to create some exclusive content for the paper. Invite Marty Walsh into the studio and now you have an exclusive and some nice pics for the big picture paper.
The new owners have stripped the paper to a shell pf its former self which was not that big to begin with. Todays Best Buy circular may have more pages than the Haytabs Saturday edition. I don't know why anyone would pay 3.50 for the print edition. The stories are short and Howie Carr continues to recycle columns he wrote 10 years ago. A recent column was a recap of Peter Blute's infamious 1999 weekday booze cruise

I agree with your assessment of print newspapers 100%!Some of us still like reading the paper version. Back porch, bathroom, kitchen while eating breakfast.
There is also a different experience of reading a print newspaper....starting at the beginning and finishing with the comics.
Online it feels a little more hit and miss. If a story isn't on the home (web)page, most never will find/see it.
I know if makes me the minority. ;-)
Todd Feinburg is still there, is he not?Shattuck a talk host on WTIC Hartford now
I do personally miss those pre-internet days, spending hours devouring The Sunday Boston Globe! Some of us still like reading the paper version. Back porch, bathroom, kitchen while eating breakfast.
