GSP August trends

https://ratings.****************/content/arb191

Nothing really extreme, other than there being a pretty wide gap between the top 3 stations and everything else.

WSPA-FM seems to have stabilized and WORD seems to have stopped the bleeding.

Planet WTPT continues sinking down to a 2.4. I know TRG have a following - if it weren’t for them, I wonder how awful the numbers would truly be? Audacy recently started rolling them out to other markets, at least Chattanooga.

I suspect most of that 1 share 104.9 was getting will go to 102.5 and 101.1.

I just realized something - Clemson basketball and football moved to 92.5 last year. That gives iHeart the two major college teams, Tigers on 92.5 and Gamecocks on 104.9.

Could this be behind 93.3’s ratings collapse?

Magic has been doing Christmas music on the weekends at time. That could have helped -- oddly enough.

Not GSP related but the Columbia numbers also came out and the one thing that sticks out clearly is WCOS-FM has plummeted and collapsed I have never seen WCOS fall so low. There has been complaints of the station has gotten too political. WVOC like WORD has finally stabilized as well.

Even if WSPA has bounced back they are still a terrible outdated station and I predict they will also plummet back to the lows they were having after the holidays are over with.

What do you think is outdated about WSPA-FM? They don't sound any different than most other mainstream AC's which aren't doing that great in a lot of markets right now.

Weird. I never tired to access ratings on the day they came out. I'm not even allowed to see the old numbers until 5:00. Just saw them.

The September trends are pretty a copy and paste of the August trends. Much needed stability before the holidays I suppose.
