Syndication for 2022-2023

Wow, a thread for the 2022 season before the 2021 season has started? LOL!

Anyway, The Good Dish will/should be premiering next fall. It's based on the Dr. Oz segment, so I assume many stations that air his show will carry it.

In addition to American Housewife, there will be a few other new off-net strips - Bob ❤️ Abishola, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Neighborhood will be entering syndication in 2022.

The newsmagazine series People which isn't nation wide yet could also launch national in 2022 as there hasn't been any word for it to launch in 2021

The Katz spreadsheet lists it debuting in fall 2021 alongside The Good Dish (and the off-net offerings I mentioned earlier). I wonder if current Gray stations will get People when the company acquires Meredith.

Keep in mind that COVID-19 threw everything into a free fall. It’ll be interesting to see which shows will be available for 2022, barring any last minute deals.

It didn’t hurt to start it early since we got the American Housewife announcement.

I think more station groups could be picking it up this fall.

The Good Dish has been put off another year, and yes I wonder the same thing. WBTV would probably shorten QC at 3 to a half hour and/or put it at 1:37am, I don’t see them cancelling On Your Side With Jamie Boll.

Wow (Woman of Wrestling) will premiere in weekend syndication starting fall 2022 on local stations
this is actually the latest reboot, the promotion launched in 2000, shut down in 2001 and been rebooted in 2012 and then got a second chance on AXS TV before Anthem bought the network out as at the time AXS TV aired New Japan Pro Wrestling on the network, but WOW was canceled shortly after NJPW was canceled by AXS TV as they were replacing it with Impact Wrestling (which Anthem bought it out in 2017 and moved it to AXS TV in 2019 after Anthem bought the network).

also, this will be allowing Tessa Blanchard to wrestle for a promotion after her stint with Impact Wrestling (which they made her World Champion, which is their main event title for the men's division) ended when she refuse to go to work during the early part of the pandemic cause she was with her fiancée (now her husband) and then was stripped of the Impact World title due to it, on top of her abrupt departure in 2020, she also dealt with a racism/bullying scandal where stories about her calling another wrestler the n word in a backstage incident that occurred at a World Wonder Ring Stardom event in the promotion's home country of Japan during her tenure there. Tessa being the daughter of legendary Four Horsemen member Tully and the granddaughter of Joe Blanchard and stepdaughter of Terry "Magnum T.A." Allen (who was a rising star in NWA in the 1980s until a near fatal car accident paralyzed in one side of his body for a period of time.) was never hired by AEW or WWE in the wake of her firing from Impact due to her attitude.

and finally the last thing to note is, April Mendez (best known as AJ Lee in WWE) has signed on to be a producer for the WOW reboot marking her first involvement in pro wrestling since her WWE retirement after WrestleMania 31 & the Raw after WrestleMania in 2015 (she retired from WWE due to a career ending injury to her cervical spine (neck area of her spine) which also she felt like she did everything she needed to do in pro wrestling as well and her husband's known dispute/split with WWE), just almost 2 months after her husband Phil "CM Punk" Brooks made his AEW debut as part of a much needed comeback run after he retired from pro wrestling after walking out of the WWE the day after Royal Rumble 2014, which he was dealing with a near fatal case of MRSA, pent up frustrations with WWE management about a lot of things and got concussed at Royal Rumble after a kick to the head from Kofi Kingston in the Royal Rumble match and continued until he was eliminated and then chokeslam into a gimmicked WWE announce table (designed to collapse where someone gets "put through" it).

so yeah, it's a big deal in Wrestling right now

I see WOW ending up on CW stations on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon such as WPIX in NY, WSBK in Boston, WLNE in Providence filling up a hour of airtime. And who knows if WOW is successful in weekend syndication maybe WWE, AEW, ROH, MLW and NWA can get on weekend syndication as well.

ROH if that stands for Ring of Honor wrestling it's on weekends on KDSM FOX 17 in Des Moines and KGAN CBS 2 and KFXA FOX 28 in Cedar Rapids Waterloo area.

WOW would be a good fit with American Ninja Warrior on WAXN on Saturdays.

I wonder where WOW will end up in NYC, Boston, Providence, LA and other major cities?
CBS O&O’s will carry it so it will be on 3 of those 4 markets

New episodes of WOW will launch in weekend syndication
beginning in the fall of 2022. ViacomCBS Global Distribution
Group has already secured clearance in 160 markets,
representing 70 percent of the United States via licensing
agreements with deals that include CBS-owned-and-operated
stations and Sinclair Broadcast Group. Historical seasons
will be available on CW Seed and Pluto TV platforms,
expected in December 2021.

WOW should consider moving the show to a venue like a bingo hall or an auditorium and tone down the over-the-top production and announcing.
