Ho-Ho-Ho, A Month To Go

Don't blame us, but with a new month comes the reality that KEZ will soon be playing all Ho-Ho-Ho Music.🎅 If the thought of that is too much for any of you, drop by the Media Hut for a complimentary mug of hot buttered rum. It's only $5.00 and includes an 8x10 of the Old Gringo. (price is slightly higher if you don't want the photo).

I was reading that some stations have already flipped the switch to all Christmas music as of today like WWIZ and WXMS. Seems a little early to me, although there was that one year KOOL decided to go all Christmas in the middle of October! 🙄

That's an awful lot of ho's for an Old Gringo to deal with all at once. I think I'd prefer the Ho of the Month Club from now till Xmas.

Well, there's a bunch of Santa's lady helpers down on Van Buren that could easily accommodate your request. Just be sure to have Nurse Jeff check your immunization records first!

KOOL holds the record for being out of the chimney first with All Ho-Ho-Ho music. They started Nov 2, 2018, giving 94~Five a two week advantage over 99~Nine. It didn't make any difference, in fact their ratings dropped and they never tried the stunt again.

Well, the Nurse and I predicted it almost to the day. All Ho-Ho-Ho Music returns to KEZ on 11/04. So until then, join us at the Buckeye Media Hut as we don our fezzes and sing... Simply having not a wonderful Christmas time!

Today I was on terminal hold for service from BestBuy and the music was all Christmas tunes.

'Tis the time to be cranky...

Home Depot moved all their Halloween decorations aside two weeks ago to put up Xmas trees and decorations. The Nurse and I believe 11/04 is the earliest start for All Ho-Ho-Ho Music on 99~Nine, KEZ.

Meanwhile at the Media Hut, we're offering Iced Buttered Rum at our drive thru window - just remember to honk before you drive thru our window!

Pull yourself away from the drive-thru at 730am on 11/4, Doc...when you hear "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas," the 99th caller WINS $2,500!!!!

THAT'S A LOT OF RICE AND BEANS.

One for November, one for December.

Might have to shop a bit earlier than usual this year, with all of the logistics issues out there.

:geek:

Delirious XM started 11/01...can't get enough Ho's, I guess.

If I could only pick one Christmas song to hear it sure as hell wouldn't be anything by Mariah Carey. Perhaps Boney M or Johnny Mathis.

Variety? Really?

Fairytale of New York by The Pogues w/ Kirsty MacColl - far more "mainstream" & well-known in the UK than it is stateside (to the point of being covered by contestants on 'Britain's Got Talent') - has yet to grace KEZ's festivities.

The only song that isn't Dolly Parton's "Hard Candy Christmas" that I can listen to without gagging.

Only the Middle Eastern Men of the Media have made this observation: The return of All Ho-Ho-Ho music on 99~Nine coincided with the return of the McRib samich at McDonalds. A conspiracy? Dunno...maybe the cyber ninjas can look into this.

The McRib was international, you know? Well, we advertised it on Mega 98.3 in Buenos Aires, but apparently you can't take the ribs out of Texas because it was replaced in a few months with a new hamburger, the McPalta. "Palta" is avocado, and the burger came with a nice mash of that green stuff we call guacamole.

I think the McRib is the Gremlin of fast foods.

The content might be too much for most AC stations, I think. Besides, the official clean version is terrible. Sounds like a bad splice job. Great song, though.
