Boston Radio Ratings October 2021

While denegrating CNN's meager prime time audience of 600,000 viewers, Kuhner actually said this week that if you include his online lisenership his audience is 4 to 5 times larger than CNN's. So with those kind of numbers in the millions can anyone explain to me why IHEART is letting this major talent waste away on just one station? For those of you who are not familiar with my posts I am being sarcastic.

One could never deduce this from the plethora of colonoscopy and viagra commercials.
Lets not forget dental implants, at home medical supplies and those financial advisors for those approaching their golden years. Kuhner had a local car dealer for a while reportedly the dealer was not pleased that during a live read Kuhner said "if you are looking for a cheep car this model was for you". During another live reaad Kuhner said the SUV drove like a tank. These ad lib copy points were not approved by the dealer or the sales department.

When did iHeart acquire WRKO? Or is that just a type of sarcasm with which I'm not familiar?

iHeart’s acquisition of WRKO was completed in December 2017.
Ooooops. I can't keep who owns what straight, I admit that, so I did a quick-and-dirty Google of "Who owns WRKO?" and got the answer I'm attaching. That's what I get for not scrolling down to all the other results that contradicted this. Sorry!

I can not keep who owns what straight either. I found it much easier when there 7 or 8 companies that owned stations in the market as opposed to the 3 we have now, IHEART, Beasley and Audacy.

Google's answers to "questions" are often wrong. Just use Google to look up websites and links.

I'm surprised K000nah didn't include some family history in that ad-lib.... "This SUV drives like a tank. And let me tell you, I know tanks, because back in the old country when my great-great grandfather was fighting the Bolsheviks he was run over by a tank!"

There's no sign of the old WAAF.
EMF does not subscribe to ratings in the vast majority of its markets, so K-Love won't show in those books.

They buy a small number of markets which they look at as "indicators" of how their programming is doing. But their main ratings are done by Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

Don't use Google for anything other than mapping* on a regular basis.

Startpage grabs less of your info and uses Google's engine for results. Duck Duck Go is similarly less interested in you though it offers Bing's less-than-stellar results.

*I only tolerate Google maps because I haven't found anything better.
