WMEX sold

Godfather reference..
Jan of 10, part of 96.9's remote broadcast election night (Scott Brown won) she screamed
that Michael Graham was inthe house!!

Posted elsewhere… I was hoping 1510 might lean a little more into local sports at night, at least in Quincy/Milton. That didn’t happen.

Sounds like Jeff Lawrence is now part of WMEX. He did an oldies countdown on a Sat. morning and just now Gary Leavitt mentioned Jeff is part of the station. He was on 93.7 WCGY and later did oldies Sat nights on WRKO. In addition he was up
on WMLL Manchester NH I believe

Gary Leavitt and Friends weekend talk show goes from Justice's WMEX to Perry's WATD 95.9 with
a new Wed 8 to 9 pm time slot, per Gary's Facebook

an hour mid week at night? Hard to sell that to sponsors to make it worth buying the time and paying yourself.

at least they can be heard more than a few blocks away at night now

My brother was actually one of the State Troopers who arrested her. I got tired of asking him what was going on with the longest DWI case in state history.

I am not ure if she ever married. I was told by afriend of hers that they broke up before heading to thalter.

nobody has ever been able to find out what happened with that case, if it was broomed, she had to know God to do so as the MSP brass and everyone else on the planet were not going to stick their neck out for her after she dropped names the way she did

I was reading a piece she did about how she fled to Italy because of the alleged death threats from Hernandez's fans and that she had a failed relationship...

I wonder what happened to Bob Katzen's Sunday night show. I assume he was buying time. He must have known what he was getting into.

He probably was buying time, and doing the show from home. At one point he had a tribute show to Jerry Williams with a couple of Jerry's former producers and Bob Ness (Grace Queen of the Cockamamies) but computer/ streaming problems happened. Later he did do the show successfully. "It was a business doing pleasure with ya, Katzie!,": said Ness/ Grace at the end.

You seem to spend a lot of time thinking (obsessing) about her. ;-)
not really, I could not care less about her to tell you the truth. I just have a very bad habit of remembering tidbits of information I have run across and how to find them again when I need to.

She may be a good reporter and digger of source material for projects, she does have a track record in print, but as someone in front of a camera or a mic she just does zero for me, and I don't know if it is the voice or the attitude.

Personally, I like what she writes as far as articles, I can't say I have ever read one of her books.

I liked this one from Newsweek a few years back.

As mentioned previously, the show is on WATD Wednesday at 8pm. It is great it is off of WMEX. I know he bought time there and the revenue was helpful but it killed the music flow. WMEX runs ME TV FM nights and weekend mornings until 9am. I usually listen Saturday and Sunday mornings. The format is very well done. Saturday morning Wink Martindale is doing a great specialty show which was preempted with the Talk show. Glad it is gone. The Jeff Lawrence countdown at 9am is also great. He puts a lot of time into it and has a lot of the original WMEX jingles. There is a lot of good entertainment still on AM radio. I steam it and it sounds great in stereo.
