You can also add former ABC 15 reporter Katie Connor to Brnovich's payroll as his communications director. One look at her Tweets, and you can see her shilling for her boss. 😐
I hate to put words in her mouth, but she's bringing this on herself, despite remaining professional on-air up to this time.
One of several things could have happened:
1. She's not vaccinated for COVID, is against it, and she quit before getting fired.
2. A new broom sweeps clean. Gray is the new broom. She and Brandon Lee won't be the last to depart KTVK/KPHO. That operation is seriously bloated.
3. She wants to enter the political field, and can't do so while employed at a TV news operation (that didn't stop Kari Lake from spewing her venom on-air).
4. She just wants to stay in Arizona, despite the fact that's she's good enough right now to work in a much larger market.
4a. She tried to move to a larger market, but her now-apparent right-wing political views make her unemployable in the news business in any market larger than Phoenix.
I wish no ill on her, but she's jumping from the frying pan into the fire, especially if the Republicans lose their legislative majority next November. She never came across as being dishonest, but if they do lose next year, she's going to have to lie through her teeth to keep her bosses happy.
