107.7 The End- multiple stations on their air last night

My wife saw a post from a FB friend that The End was playing multiple stations last night and I confirmed this a few minutes before I turned in. Here's part of his post-

"...107.7 KNDD, but it has also been playing 92.3 WNYL in New York, and WZRH in New Orleans which is also 92.3, amusingly. 94.7 out of Portland is in there too, along with 101.9 from the Orlando market."

I don't remember what stations I heard but there were two of them playing ads at the same time. One may have been 107.7 but I can't guarantee it. This was apparently going on for over two hours at minimum.

Nobody on here heard this?

Everything about this is plausible except WZRH. Audacy does not own that station; it is owned by Cumulus.

I'm also confused by "playing multiple stations"; did they hear overlapping audio of multiple stations?

Yes- I'm not sure how many stations overlapping that our friend heard but I heard two at one time for the 3 or 4 minutes that I tuned in. I think it was two breaks at the same time but my friend says they heard multiple songs at once and I believe them. I was not able to identify what two stations I was hearing so I can't confirm the stations listed by our friend.

Over the air or on the Audacy.com stream? If this happened over the air I'd be really surprised.

Unfortunately, this happens fairly often when you're using programming from one station to fit the needs of other stations throughout the country.

Multiple stations playing at the same time? Now that's a new one. Many years ago, there were nights I would turn on KOMO when I couldn't sleep and would hear adds playing on top of one another. I personally haven't heard this, but a friend says there's Alt 92.3 imaging running on Audacy's national alternative night show. I have also heard voice tracks either placed in the wrong spot or the tracker identifying the wrong station. Another blooper, and this is the most recent one I've heard, I was trying to stream KATS a couple weeks ago and their stream was playing sister KXRX. Speaking of KATS, there's a station with issues.

Could it have been a stunt/in-joke, a warning that the plug is about to be pulled on alt at all those stations in the very near future?

This was over the air confirmed on multiple radios, including a car radio. It was also confirmed to be happening on the web streams for 107.7 The End, Alt 92.3 in NYC and "Portland's Alt station".

But since all three stations are supposedly carrying the night shows from WNYL, what was different? Commercials? ID?

Everything was different. Songs, commercials and I assume branding were all being played two at a time. If you want to know what it sounded like, turn a radio on in your house. Then turn another one on, same volume level on a different station. That's what KNDD was broadcasting last night.

Well, if you’re not joking around on this one, it’s been an ongoing issue over 107.7 for months now.
Then it should be a simple question to answer.
How many time has the same thing happened? Were the symptoms the same? Did you experience multiple overlapping music, breaks, or everything?
