So I've noticed that KFRR Woodlake has been off the air for the past day or so. First noticed yesterday when I was getting KHKK Modesto solidly and even more today while driving around, no sign of KFRR Woodlake. Anyone have info about what happened?
The owner himself is on facebook, John Ostlund ...ask him yourself
Repairs at our transmitter site after damages from the KNP Complex Fire are still happening & no power still at the transmitter site, which slows everything down, so that means the 104.1 signal down
You can still listen to New Rock 104.1 online at newrock1041.fm, from our free app that you can download from your App Store or on smart speakers (just enable the new rock skill)
Thank you for the information. I do not have a Facebook account so it would not have been a place I would have thought to look for the information, which is why I posted the question here. Not complaining either, I find it interesting to hear a out of market station clearly which is why I was curious as to what happened, even though I suspected the KNP Complex fire had something to do with itOr better yet, go to their facebook page which has answers:

KHKK 104.1 Modesto has sounded like a local the last 2 days in Fresno/Clovis on home stereo and driving, the tule fog brings it in inversion tropo conditions ,Only the valley floor stations with 50K like 103.3 Kat Country, KHKK and also KBLO 102.3 Corcoran signal come it and KBLO knock out LP 102.3 KKDJ outside 5 miles from their transmitter site at Holland And Blackstone. KHKK as of right now still sounds like a local. now KFRR may needs to get a new generator or put a temp lp transmitter on 95.7 or 99.3 site, I guess I- heart with their half power temp on KFSO tower is still working well.So I've noticed that KFRR Woodlake has been off the air for the past day or so. Owner John ostlund posted that Lotus helped them out, but didnt specify how or whereNew Rock 104 is back on the air, sort of, using low power and doesn't serve all areas, works in Fresno and Clovis, might be using an alternative transmitter site maybe on Now 99.3 on the Del Webb building in Downtown Fresno or at KJFX 95.7 site east of Clovis in the Foothills.
I sure did and you verified what I suspected so I guess we are in agreement!Or you just read my quote
Would be interesting if someone could measure signal strength at the different Lotus sites and the One Putt sites to determine where the temporary KFRR signal might be originating fromOwner John ostlund posted that Lotus helped them out, but didnt specify how or where
I'm thinking they KFRR is using 105.1 old 600 watts transmitter at Meadow Lakes, which is also where 101.9 is at.Would be interesting if someone could measure signal strength at the different Lotus sites and the One Putt sites to determine where the temporary KFRR signal might be originating from
