New 91.5 FM from Buda area

PODEROSA BROADCASTING, INC. has filed in the recent noncommercial FCC window to add a new 100 watt FM on 91.5 from Goforth, TX. This will not reach Austin, but should reach the area southwest of it at least, like Buda.

It's licensed to a ghost town... Goforth, Texas.

This is just a random guess, but is it connected to the Lopez family who owns KLMO, KHTW and others? The individual does have a Corpus Christi phone number (where Lopez Broadcasting is from). Same last name... But I might be way off track, LOL.

LOL, some of my stations are as well. I actually had to look up Borie, WY, and it has a somewhat colorful history as an Amtrak station/railroad town in the 1990's.

Do they have the same/similar phone number?

Not the same phone number nope.
But same last name and area code. That doesn't mean much, just wondering what this 91.5 will play.

The maps the FCC use contains names of many towns that once existed. I recall my boss considering a filing using one such town because it was the closest to the geographic coordinates. Te town died in the 1930s and was incorporated as a part of The Woodlands (I think) many years prior.
