What's the matter with Audacy? (Especially their legacy stations?)

Seems to me that this at least partially answers the OP question. Even when you tell the audience "you only have to wait 2 minutes to get back to our amazing content!" they're still not interested.

The content is the music. The music in the format isn't that compelling. So the spots weren't the problem.

There is nothing else the alternative music audience is interested in, except maybe sex.
