WHK network news

How does this work?

On “The Answer”, WHK, AM1420/102.5 FM I hear news from SRN (Salem Radio News) on some occasions and from Town Hall.com, on others. Is there a relationship between the two, maybe kind of like there is between Ave Maria Radio and EWTN radio networks?

Good question. Maybe just to get a different view on the news stories of the day. Do they seem to alternate every hour?

Makes sense. Thanks. So, why don't they just have the newscasts come from one source, SRN or Town Hall? There seem to be some difference, or independence, between the two.

SRN and Town Hall are the same thing ... same exact service as far as i remember

Ok. Then, why are we hearing announcements at the beginning of newscasts saying "SRN radio news", and then, at other times, "Townhall.com"?

Because it's what Salem wants to do... However, I do note that I believe the product branded as SRN is primarily fed to their Christian stations (and those Christian broadcasters who take Salem's news but are NOT owned by Salem) while the "Town Hall" branding is generally used on their "commercial properties" and their "Conservative talk" stations. But the station being owned by Salem their free to program which ever version they want.
