KSVY Sonoma - Upgrade

The article is behind a paywall but it describes the Sonoma-based 91.3 non-comm recent upgrade. It now runs 790 watts ERP from a hill south of Sonoma.

The article shows a new 2-bay stacked panel antenna . It"s a Kathrein FMC-05 at 0.85 wavelength separation., nulling 15dB down over 110 degrees over the pattern (110 to 220 degrees) avoiding the East Bay and SFO.

.

I compared the antenna patterns between radio-locator.com and fccdata.org. It looks like Michi at fccdata.org got it right concerning the massive 15dB drop over much of the radials.

Depending on your browser, you can use NoScript to get past most paywalls. Exception is SacBee.

But it's nice they got more coverage now.
