I'm guessing for those farther away towns, they only listed the stations that Billings also had, as the Billings Gazette had no interest in showing listings for stations not in Billings. Glendive had a translator for KUMV from Williston, ND, so that was on their cable system. I think Glasgow had both Williston stations as translators and so those would have been on their cable system as well.
 
Plus channel 4 of Hardin, MT (Billings market) wasn't on the air yet. Not sure about today's channel 6 in that market.

Ch 6 (KSVI) signed on in 1993, ABC previously aired on KOUS 4. Ch 4 (currently KHMT-Fox) signed-on in 1980, with the intellectual property moving to 6; KHMT signed-on in 1995.

To clarify, it moved to ch 6 when they signed-on (the move to ch 6 was to improve reception in Billings).
