Audacy Reveals Revamped Weekday Lineups in Philadelphia

https://news.****************/artic...eals-Revamped-Weekday-Lineups-in-Philadelphia

These lineups will take place for November 15th.

Audacy has announced revamped weekday programming lineups for WOGL-FM WBEB-FM (B101.1) and WTDY-FM (96.5 TDY) in Philadelphia. "These changes will enable us to provide a more premier, entertaining slate of content to our listeners on three local favorites," said Senior VP and Market Manager David Yadgaroff. "We trust these new lineups will best reflect the identity of each station and deliver strong results in the market."

Somewhat being touched upon in the Glenn Kalina retires thread. A shame that WOGL and WTDY will have no local presence outside of AM drive.

Kind of nostalgic they had a link to the old WCAU for a bit once again.

Maybe they should have brought back Barsky one more time (just kidding, just kidding)

I think these changes that was announced will hurt the stations more than help. Audacy should not be doing a iheart, letting a DJ from another market do a show for Philly while he or she still does their own radio shows in their hometowns.

When it was Entercom, they claimed they are "local" unlike other competitors. Our area(Scr/W-B) still have local talent. In fact, Audacy's CHR WKRZ-FM in NEPA still has a local mornings show, followed by On Air w/Ryan Seacrest, and a local afternoon show hosted by a longtime jock who is in the business for 40 years. The station complex even has its own driveway named after him!

With the changes going on in markets across the country, the local presence in my neck of the woods might start to gradually decrease, and may come to a point it would sound like a satellite radio station with mostly voicetracked programming.

Speaking of which, I bet almost noone will notice that Craig Stevens will be doing both WSAN mornings and WRFY afternoons.
