WKVB 107.3 license to cover filed.

Couldn't tell you. Put 107.3 on tbe pay no mind list the minute it flipped from WAAF to K-Love. However, north of the city it still does come in clear enough for my car radio to stop by it when pressing the seek button.
I guess that I will hook up my radio and see if I can pick it up?

How's the signal in Boston proper these days?

It definitely comes in in Boston proper now.....but it's not in the red "pounce" level that it needs to be with buildings, etc where much of the densest population is. (See pic)

WKVB 107.3 filed a licence to cover on Friday 12/10/2021 for their new transmitter site closer to Boston.

They will be closer to Boston, but it appears it will have a weaker signal over Boston itself. What does K-Love plan to re-ionforce the signal within 128? (They were on 100.7 HD-3 for awhile from the top of the Pru.)

What will come of the Channel 27 tower in Boylston with WKVB's departure? Do they still have a functioning back-up in Paxton?

Just listening at the last top of the hour with the ID "KLOV Winchester". That is Winchester, Oregon. Oops.... Is the "main studio" at Ch. 66 also?

Whoops!

I believe the signal plot on R-L is malfunctioning. Their site should not be showing a null in the new pattern to the east; the new pattern is omnidirectional.

Here is a better plot of the new pattern - based on the protected 57 dBu contour:

...and here is one that shows the city grade (70 dBu), 60 dBu, 50 dBu and 40 dBu contours:

Are these guys using MaxxCasting on-channel repeater technology, too? I thought I had read that they were - at least on an experimental basis.

Not owned by them--still Costa-Eagle I think--but the FM translator of WUBG Methuen, running K-Love
is W287CW 105.3 Methuen--but transmitter in Medford

And here is the DAYTIME signal of WUBG

Don't forget about the on channel boosters in Waltham, Lexington, and on the Hancock in Boston. Those are what get 107.3 heard better within 128. Supposedly with this move, the boosters will be able to increase power somewhat.

While I have not tuned into a radio station by traditional means in years, it is likely that the Hancock booster would likely beam into my proximity.

You know, I see that map, but honestly, coming down Rt 93, I can't even pick up 105.3 for more that a second or 2. This has got to be one of the worst translator placements ever. (Doesn't cover Methuen at all, and not receivable in much of the area it covers on paper.)

More like this for 15-16 hours of the day. ;-)

Well, that is well outside of my range!

There is no main studio, not required and few if any klove stations have one
