December numbers are here

December numbers: https://radioinsight.com/ratings/houston-galveston/

Usual Christmas surge for Sunny.

Country Legends streaming number is impressive, and OTA still does well for a rimshot.

Praise getting some traction, but the numbers are roughly the same as when the format failed a decade ago.

Gow has got to do something to get a better signal. Current 97.5/92.5 combo isn't working. Would love to see male 25-54 breakouts for the sports formats.

Vida Unida has work to do but still early in the game.

When do station owners quit shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic and pull the plug on some of the AM stations in the area? KPRC moving from one site to another which will probably also be worth more developed as housing or retail doesn’t make sense in the long term.

KPRC is making money plus clearing owned syndicated content. Why pull the plug?

The new transmitter site might actually help them a bit, especially on the west side of the market. I see them surviving okay during the 20s; however in the 30s they might be at the end of the road.

Speaking of which, anyone have any update on the status of the triplex at the 790 site?

What happens when the new site is more valuable for development as something else?

It's already happening. It's why iHeart is consolidating three AM stations into one site.

The KPRC site sits next to a massive industrial/chemical/distribution area with relatively easy access to the loop and as close to downtown as possible. It is an ideal site for any company that transports Hazardous Cargo since HC Trucks are forbidden from using freeways inside the loop (We've all seen those HC signs with a green circle or red circle with red line across it on 610).
