Over this past Holiday Weekend I came up with an idea that I thought you guys might want to have a little fun with....
"What was your first DX catch of the new year?" Perhaps this is a topic that Frank or David will want to roll into the existing "Post Your Latest DX" forum. If so, that's fine with me. But I think this is a slightly different animal. What I'm thinking of is, your first DX catch of 2022 (including a re-log) that's not a regular either at your location or on an SDR that you have experience with. Got it? Let's see what we can come up with! I'll go first.....
My first DX catch of 2022 was (drum roll), actually "something I couldn't identify". Specifically, I was checking out the Prince Edward Island SDR (Canadian Maritimes), when I heard tropical music on 550. Good, steady signal. For all I know, it might have been a regular. But whatever, it did surprise me.
"Unknowns" aren't exactly what I had in mind for this. But it's thre best I can do for now. When I snag something "DX-worthy" that I can ID, I'll come back to this thread and share it. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the thread, and if any of you gentlemen can shed light on what I heard last night on an Atlantic Canada SDR, please let me k,now.
