I can't figure how to use the "+ -- Quote" option when replying to a poster. For example, I would like to narrow down part of what the previous post said when replying to it. Is this the right option to be able to do this?
I use "reply" rather than "quote" (which I've also never been able to make much sense of). When you hit "reply", the post is quoted in the reply box. You can then edit the quote (as I've done with yours) to excerpt the relevant part of their post.
"Quote" is used if you are replying to more than one poster. When using this feature, click "Post reply" and then press the button on the bottom that says "Insert quotes." After that, you can type your reply to the quotes.
