MaxxCasting in New York?

There are a number of articles in the trades today concerning EMF extending the range of its Air1 broadcasts in L.A. through the MaxxCasting system. MaxxCasting uses what appears to be a rather sophisticated technology of boosters and cell systems that help to maximize stations' signals.
Geo Broadcast Solutions Maxxcasting website has a map showing U.S. cities that have stations using their system. New York is among them. Does anyone know how it is being utilized in this market?

The 104.7 translator on top of the World Trade Center. It can be heard as far south as Trenton NJ but can’t be heard in Central Park. It’s short spaced to WSPK and they don’t want the translator to cover even an inch of Westchester county

This technology sounds like a good way for Radio Freedom FM to reach the Russian-speaking community in Brighton Beach.

Uh no. Maxxcasting is for signals that have more then one .. like a full power and a booster .. or in the case of LA.. two signals on the same frequency close together that would otherwise cause lots of interference

"MaxxCasting" is simply one company's brand of synchronizing multiple transmitters on one frequency to attempt to create seamless coverage. In Los Angeles, EMF has two full powered signals and a translator all on 92.7. In Boston, it is being used with networks of boosters on 92.5 WXRV, 104.5 WXLO, and now 107.3 WKVB to improve coverage in the city itself.

Where this could've made an impact was on the old Y107 quadcast in the late 90s/early 2000s, which was an early attempt at the same.

In LA there’s also 93.5 KDAY/KDEY, two class A’s synchronized to cover seamlessly from LA almost to Palm Springs. Then there’s Revolution 93.5 in south Florida with two full powers and two translators covering over 200 miles from Port St Lucie to the lower Keys.

I thought MaxxCasting also involved shoehorning a translator with deep nulls to avoid interference.
