WJZY changes branding, losing FOX?

Where did you hear this? Has WJZY announced anything?

If you read my post, NO. They're not changing it, they haven't announced anything about it. It will still be WJZY as is.

WJZY has dropped the “Fox 46” brand, and ALL mentions of FOX for “The Carolina’s’ Queen City News.” Calls are changing to WQCN.

It is barely even recognizing FOX as an affiliate. Smells like the affiliation may be on the move.

Fox 18 anyone?
If you actually read the article, it said they were only changing the brand at this time. Not the network affiliation or call letters. They did consider changing the call letters, but to WYQC. That came from an employee who is a member of TV News Talk. WQCN is already taken by some church in Virginia. Now maybe that will happen in the future but not now. If they did cut ties with Fox they would be prepared, but sounds like you just ran with your own narrative. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I am well aware this is incorrect. The site won’t let me edit or delete it.

I’ve gone on record elsewhere saying that I absolutely hate the Queen City News rebrand in almost every aspect (bad, clunky name, awkward design and poor overall rollout) but it REALLY shows how bad a shape Fox Broadcasting is in when one of their former O&Os did this.
