Is Mega Returning To Austin?

I can bet you anything Waterloo might use the current HD2 signal in Austin with Mega for a translator.
 
I remember fondly listening the to Mega 93-3 and 99-7, if they do bring back the brand, it probably won't feature the same music as I recall. Regardless, didn't they just launch The Vibe?

Let's not forget that they also teased the return of "Latino" shortly after launching The Vibe.

I wonder how satisfied they are with Lucy?

That still seems so weird to me. 102.7 is the worst signal in the Waterloo cluster. If "Latino" couldn't cut it there, why would they bring it back to a bigger, better signal? And why tease its return so far out?

I think the more likely explanation is the tease wasn't official, but instead done by a hopeful staffer.

Also, it hasn't even been 8 months since The Vibe launched in late May 2021. Maybe that is enough time to know if it is going to work or not, but 102.7 sure has had a lot of format spins. Hard to have much faith in whatever comes next.
 
When did MegaHD2 103-5 finally call it quits?

I would check in about once a year to see if it was still on. I think I stopped that tradition in 2019 or so.
 
The dance format is still on one of KGSR's HD signals. Now calling itself The Party apparently.
