CBS2 @ 4

Judge Judy is a CBS-distributed show. It will air on either WCBS or maybe WLNY in a pinch, and probably in a good time slot. So where would you suggest they stick it instead of 4pm on WCBS?

While we are on the subject of CBS2, how come they also do not have WLNY-55 as a sub channel on WCBS?

Anyone in Nassau or Western Suffolk who aims their antennas to 1WTC will not be able to pick up WLNY as they transmit from Ridge (as outdoor TV antennas typically do not receive signals from the back of the antenna). WLNY could conceivably be shown on 2.5 or 2.6.

I'm suggesting she be retired. CBS-owned stations in Philly and Chicago have dropped her in favor of a 4pm newscast.

As far as I can tell, Judge Judy never aired on the CBS O&O in Philadelphia, KYW-TV, going back to the 1990s.

WBBM-TV in Chicago dropped Judge Judy just last week. It looks like WBBM news was getting their clock cleaned at 5p and 6p, and they may think adding news at 4p will help that.

Anyway, Judge Judy will not be retired in New York. Because of how provincial the network O&Os are these days, it will be on WCBS-TV or WLNY.

Isn't it time for Channel 2 to kick Judge Judy to the curb and join everyone else with a 4pm newscast?

They have tried 4pm news once before when they were all alone too. But it was against Oprah so... yeah.

They can add it too but good luck against WABC's #1 news at 4pm.

But wait isn't CBS owned stations in the middle of releasing CBS News Local as a streamer? I don't know how CBS2 News at 4 will play out if that's the case.

Its called live streaming on CBS News New York. WCBS and all other CBS O&Os have control of the streamers so if WCBS was to start doing 4:00 p.m., they can start streaming it on CBS News New York from day one.

The app will not affect how they program their TV station.

But Judge Judy's multi-million dollar contract will.
