Digital Cable Radio 1992 ad

....Which, several years later, would become Music Choice.

Did they use Scientific Atlanta's "CD-X" NICAM hack-up that DMX were also using at that time or did they have some other transmission system?

It was called Music Choice when I first subscribed in 1996. Used a separate General Instruments DCR-1000 receiver. Had 34 channels at the time; somewhere I still have that channel lineup card. I recall "Italian" was one of the offerings.

When I got digital cable TV boxes in 1999 the newly launched digital cable service included Music Choice on its channel lineup, so I dropped the separate service box and the related charge (Music Choice was baked into the digital cable subscription cost.)
