WABE Is Amplifying Atlanta

Because it is official as of yesterday, 1/31/2022. WPBA, previously used as the callsign for almost 40 years, is officially WABE-TV now.

PBS is just now making it to the online streaming services such as YouTube TV, DirecTV, etc. Today I noticed that PBS showed up on my DirecTV streaming service. I tuned in expecting it to be GPB. To my surprise, it is WABE-TV. It is the only PBS signal they are carrying for Atlanta. I looked at the channel line up for Atlanta and PBS is still not listed.

DirecTV maybe but YouTube TV has been carrying PBS for years now. It was the only one carrying PBS until DirecTV Stream opened it up.
 
I saw some of the ID work yesterday when my wife was watching a British show. The logo and graphics package isn't something to write home about (just my opinion)
