No Station in the Buffalo market

From the RAMP radio newsletter today:

"The National Association of Broadcasters announced the 50 finalists for the 35th annual NAB Crystal Radio Awards. Since 1987, the NAB Crystal Radio Awards have recognized radio stations for their outstanding year-round commitment to community service".

With radio's proud heritage in the Buffalo market, how sad that not one station in the market is up to to win this year's coveted NAB Crystal Radio award. Has one of our local station's ever won the award?
 
People have to apply for those awards. Is any station in Buffalo applying for them? Once you apply, you also have to campaign - kind of like the Oscars. That requires time and manpower. Buffalo stations are all running very thin on personnel.

Like the AIR awards.

Once you realize you have to send a submission, you realize why the "winners" sometimes seem to be such odd choices given who else is in a given market.
