So should the translator have been listed as KKBQ HD3 in the ratings?
Yes. Nielsen only lists AMs, FM's, HD Channels and LPFMs. Local translators are listed as part of the "parent" signal.

Thanks for the info David. You really Cox will pay for that?
They have a "market" subscription. They may choose no to give the results to the HD renter, or many have charge for the data. With a third party full suburban FM, I'm not sure who pays and how the right to use the data is assigned.

Texas mix is still on 94.9 also, every so often they would be broadcasting dead air for a long time then back on.

I hope it’s ok to revive this dead thread. But KTWL is now off of the air and I can hear power over 50 miles away.

You’re doing it now.
Not making a mistake... Just wondering what the mistake is...

Either way the banned user doesn't seem to be coming back, and Frank locked the thread so I don't think it's still up for discussion.

I would think, like any transmitter, the power drawn is determined by the efficiency of the transmitter; that is, TPO vs. power consumed.

If the antenna for a 99 watt transmitter has no gain, and the transmitter operates at 80% efficiency (pulling numbers out of a hat) I would think total power consumption out of a standard outlet would be around 125 watts...?
A 120v circuit is usually limited to 20amps, sometimes 25 or 30 but that's rare. So 2400watts max on the circuit. 50% efficiency would get you 1200 watts out...ymmv

I wish they would change KKBQ HD-3 from dead air back to country legends 97.1.
