Dang that is odd for KCRA-TV to be seen as far as Santa Cruz.

Sure I expect KCRA to be seen in parts of the Bay Area TV Market because Solano County is split in two DMA's and parts of North Sacramento Valley like Chico and Oroville to get KCRA and areas close to Lake Tahoe due to El Dorado County being in two markets Reno and Sacramento.
 
From the few listings I've seen, in the late 60s cable systems pulled in whatever stations they physically could to fill in their lineup, even if there might not be a strong market for it.
