DFW, Texas - Sangean ATS-909X - One new station this morning:

950 KWOS Jefferson City, MO. Fair and alone on channel with ID at 3/4 5:55am CST - "Morning News with Gordon Deal on KWOS".

KWOS is a perfect example of why I've often wondered why stations with simple, catchy call letters (KLIK) re-brand themselves with calls that are a bit of a mouthful (KWOS). :)

New log from Cheyenne, WY on 3/6/22:
1490 KXRE Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs in moderately strong playing "Teenage Spirit" by Nirvana, which had me do a double take. They then proceeded into local ads followed by branding as "Extra Music 102.1" They also had various mentions of Pikes Peak Community College.

I am genuinely shocked that I could null the splatter from local adjacent KRAE for this one. Also, glad I could note the brand new format as well, it seems like a good choice

Radio: My Radiwow R-108 facing northward, with the regular internal ferrite antenna. Time: Around 9:25pm MDT

1280 KZNS Salt Lake City, UT is on day power/pattern again. They were in like a local for a few minutes Broadcasting a Utah Jazz game. KZNS is 50kw daytime, and it seems like about 10 times a year, they forget to go to night power.

A heads’s up- right now (7:20 pm CST) my local 900 KREH is still on, dominating with Vietnamese talk.

Also, 1110 is Asian music with KFAB way in the background. Maybe KVTT.

Surprise catch for me this morning at my hone location. WILL, the University of Illinois station from Urbana, IL, at a little after 4am CST on 580. Alone on top of the channel. WILL is a regular here at 5kw day power with a favorable pattern, Night is the same pattern (basically north-south), but only 100 watts. Disttance is about 130 miles. I've never heard them before during hours of darkness, My suspicion is that they were on day power, but I certainly can't rule out night power/pattern,

Logged a new one last night on 1580: 50 kW 1580 KBLA in Santa Monica, CA, at 1,192 miles.

I was listening shortly before 2 a.m. CT with a barefoot Digitech AR1780 aimed NW and heard a weak station airing a talk show with "black" and "blacks" references. It faded down at TOH but came back with an ad for diversitycertification.org, which was followed by another talk show. It faded again for a few minutes and came back for a couple more before it was gone for good. KBLA's stream matched everything I heard.

I’ve picked up WILL on night power only a couple of times, rising out of the jumble. I’ve never heard it running day power at night. You may have gotten lucky!

Nice catch in Texas of KBLA.

When the conditions are auroral, WILL is usually received with fair signal at night at my location.

I also think I got lucky. Down through the years I;ve heard several different stations on 580, WILL not one of them...until this week.

I went back to 580 this morning a little after 3am. Abut 20 minutes worth. No trace of WILL, Or anything else identifiable.

Weird night for Dxing:
1090 was in English talking about Mark Reynolds, possibly KAAY.

1120 KCRN Limon is definitely on day power, as it's alone on the frequency and of local strength.

1060 playing Journey (Don't Stop Believing) but is fading in and out.

Thanks for the clarification.

So I just confirmed 1060 KNLV by matching webstream, and I confirmed 1120 KCRN with the TOTH ID. I wonder what 1090 is?
