KPBS 15 San Diego is my local PBS station I grew up with great programming uninterrupted, but only 3 or 4 times a year membership drives!!
 
I didn't know KPBS was from Los Angeles and not from San Diego as it was during that time.

I'm surprised 8 and 10 from San Diego weren't carried in El Centro at that time. KGTV did get carried in El Centro for a few years after the Yuma/El Centro DMA was left without an ABC affiliate after KECY (CBS) went to FOX and then-ABC affiliate KSWT returned to CBS.

and it wasn't until New Year's Day 2007 when KECY launched ABC on digital subchannel 9.2.
