AM bandscan from Miamisburg, Ohio

In suburban Dayton today with some time to kill, so did an AM bandscan from the factory radio in my Honda Civic.
Typing this from my phone, so don't have all the call letters handy.
Frequencies with nothing listed were just static.

550 WKRC, strong
560 WIND, weak but audible under minimal WKRC slop
570 WKBN, very weak but audible
580 mix of two stations, both unidentifiable. Guessing one was WCHS.
610 WTVN, sounding stronger than WKRC and putting slop into 600 and 620
630 WLAP, moderate and very listenable
640 WHLO, very weak with minimal WLAP slop
650 something very weak, maybe the last remnants of WSM?
660 WXIC, quite strong
670 WSCR, moderate strength
700 WLW, blasting from about 20 miles south
720 WGN, pretty weak
730 WJYM, moderate
740 WNOP, moderate
760 WJR, moderate
780 WBBM, weak
790 Louisville, very weak and some co-channel fighting, maybe with WHTH from Newark/Heath

WBOB, I just filled in as those were the last ones I remembered from that 1160.
Agree gr8, there were very few surprises. I considered doing one of these at night, but was otherwise occupied with work Saturday and last night. Thinking I was in an area with at least some nulls from the Dayton AMs, but never did check to see. Certainly heard them on the way back to Columbus last night.

All. 3 5 kWers are non-directional days, but very directional nights, all nullable from several parts, especially East. On 1160 it's fairly easy to get WYLL (the old WJJD) especially winter days

The other 580 is WILL. Use to get WTMJ on 620 in the daytime before they went directional. Also, Indianapolis 250 Watts on 810. This was from Springfield, OH. Null out CKLW and WKEE from WV was on 800 The station behind WIZE on 1340 is from Muncie, IN. I could hear Muncie in Springfield by nulling out WIZE.
 
I forgot all about the Muncie station on 1340. I don't get out into Indiana too often anymore, but it did surprise me that those two were fighting it out that close to Springfield.
WILL definitely makes sense given the ground conductivity between Dayton and Champaign-Urbana.
As for 810, I could tell something was there but it was so weak that it was unidentifiable.

Your other 580 was probably WILL, Champaign.
 
Another possibility for the 580 is CKWW Windsor. Recently, they may have been on STA with 125 watts nondirectional, which would be stronger than 500 watts directional toward Dayton. During Critical Hours, 50000 watt WTCM has a large minor lobe in that direction. I have heard it near Toledo when driving through there before Sunset. Disappeared when the power dropped to 1100 watts and the pattern changed at Sunset.

I've heard CKWW once in Dayton. I still believe WILL is the most likely candidate.
 
As far as the other station that was causing the co-channel interference to what probably was WILL, it very well could have been CKWW. As I remember, both were too weak to identify or really hear anything. The ground conductivity between Dayton and Windsor, including the water path, is a heck of a lot better than what's between Dayton and Charleston. Even the outer ring of WCHS' range on Radio Locator falls about 70 miles short of where I was.
I actually was in the same general part of the state Sunday as where I performed this scan, just about 30 miles south on the far north side of Cincinnati. No time to kill for another trip through the dial, unfortunately.
