When it comes to ratings how many minutes within a quarter hour do listeners have to listen for a station to get credit for the quarter hour?

5 consecutive in the diary, 5 discreet in the PPM. However, in PPM there are 3 detections with "lost minutes" in between minute 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 with no detection, the station gets credit.

The difference in the meter system is that not every minute gets successfully encoded, particularly in talk content where there may be no audio to mask the PPM data bursts.
