"Sig Sakowicz Superstar" was a locally hosted interview show.
Two very odd evening news decisions: KVVU airing Independent Network News at 6:30 (virtually every other station saved it for prime time) and KTNV airing Reynolds/Jennings/Max Robinson at 5pm. A number of Mountain Zone affiliates did that, but this is a first time seeing a Pacific Zone affiliate doing that.
"Morecambe and Wise" is an interesting program. Iconic comedians in the UK, their show was used by Benny Hill's distributor to fill out the Hill package. Anyone know how long they were offered or if any other comedians were packaged in the same way?

I wouldn't know the answer to that question.

I just found out that The Price is Right was shut out by KLAS from Sept 8, 1980 to Sept. 4, 1984. They moved the Young and the Restless to TPIR's slot and put in Hour Magazine in Y&R's.

I like what Tom Kennedy said on the Password Plus finale a couple of years later. He said he wasn't replacing Allen, he was filling in while Allen was "taking care of other business."

It's interesting they would choose to pre-empt a popular first-run show like The Price is Right and choose to air reruns of Jeffersons and Alice from 9-10 AM. I loved watching TPIR as a kid, I can't imagine our station pre-empting it.
