Could someone tell me the history of KMAX-TV CW 31 and KTXL FOX 40 when they debut their prime time newscast and also, when did KMAX-TV CW 31 dropped their Prime Time newscast?

KTXL started theirs in 1974. KMAX, under KRBK, started theirs in the 80s. It would move constantly from 10 p.m. to 9:30 back to 10 p.m. It was dropped in 1998 due to low ratings against KTXL, KCRA's news on KQCA, and yes, ironically even against sister station KOVR's news. KMAX did get back on it but at 6:30 p.m. and produced by KOVR. It has since moved to 5:30 p.m. on KOVR itself and *Good Day* is the last one they got. However, its on from 4:30-11:00 a.m. because its very successful. Its very comparable to the KTLA Morning News and the WGN Morning News.
