Sun Radio on 96.3

I'm picking up Sun radio on 96.3, it could either be KGID? Or the new translator? I see KTSN on RDS.

Should be the new translator of 1490 AM. They recently applied to move to 96.3 FM. How strong is the signal?

Is the programming on 96.3 the same as the 100.1 translator? Been curious if they’d start a second format in Austin.

Anything new on KFIT 1060? It is being purchased by Sun Radio, and supposedly would be the new “parent” for 100.1.

Didn’t hear anything on 96.3 when in Austin a week ago.

My home AM radio is not great at some stations I went out to my car, 96.3 and 100.1 are the same. 1060 still gospel.

My guess is KGID is either off the air or in low power? I can not get them any more.

I’m about to head to Austin today. If I go through Giddings I’ll check KGID and see if it’s actually on.

They filed the cover applications for the downgrades on 96.3 KGID and 96.3 KTHE Llano yesterday. I would imagine the application for the translator upgrade will be coming soon. They also closed on the purchase of 1060 AM yesterday, providing a compliant way to feed both the 100.1 and 96.3 translators simultaneously.

I would expect a temporary simulcast on all the stations for a transition period before something new comes to 100.1 and 1060.

The 96.3 signal came in to San Marcos and quite well around the 208 mile marker. It dropped off quickly after that.

The surprise was 96.3 was a no show in Georgetown; not sure if it was my location or if they were testing.

I was just north of Giddings in Lincoln and either I got lucky picking up the Austin translator or KGID is downgraded and playing sun radio

I'm not currently in the listening area, but the new top of the hour ID did include "K242DE Austin" which is the new callsign for the 96.3 move-in translator. So maybe it is on the air doing "equipment test".

1060am must be in low power I have a very week signal. Meanwhile Gospel is still on 103.9.

Is it playing local programming or "like Sun Radio"? Sun Radio is on 96.3 near Burnet and Marble Falls.

The website you put up here also has a weird streaming link on it, instead of KGID I hear various tracks as the stream is calling itself Demo Station. If KGID is no longer carrying local programming maybe that's why.
