WCNL improves coverage in Vermont

WCNL Newport has been bragging on air about having an improved signal in southern Windsor County, VT. I assume that refers to the 94.7 FM translator in Claremont (W234EO) and not 1010 AM. I have noticed the FM signal doing better here in Hartland, and I can listen to it all the way up to Norwich in the car. So what's happened here? New pattern? Increased power? Change of transmitter site?

The W234BN translator was granted an increase to 220 watts ERP from 50 watts ERP back in 2020. Maybe they was delayed in implementing these changes due to the pandemic, and they just now got around to it? A translator in my area had to request an extension of a CP/STA because of supply chain issues- or something like that, and they went on the air finally in September 2021. Even now, in May 2022, their signal is a bit on the weak side.

Thanks. You're right about the call of the Claremont translator. I'd been looking at info on another station's translators and the "EO" got stuck in my head.
