Syndication for 2022-2023

MGM to launch new syndicated shows like Teen Court and Ring Nation

MGM Television is launching sales of two new original unscripted series, “Teen Court” and “Ring Nation,” for barter syndication, TheWrap can exclusively report.

Under this type of agreement, the production and distribution company licenses the programs to networks in exchange for commercial time in the program and keeps a portion of the ad revenue.

“Teen Court” offers a new twist on the popular court TV format, with real-life sisters Laura Ruvolo and Melissa Ruvolo passing judgment on relatable teen issues, including money, emotional distress and revenge or overall grievances.

does anyone know if The Conners could enter syndication during the 2022-23 season?
It probably would if the first season had been longer but the first season was only 11 episodes, unless they packaged Roseanne Season 10 with it but I highly doubt they will. So it probably will in 2023-2024.

Roseanne season 10 has been airing as part of Cozi TV's Roseanne syndication package, so between that and the production's split with Barr, I would imagine "The Connors" is being viewed as a separate, stand-alone show.

WBNX is always the first one in the nation to say what they are airing in syndication, I'm surprised that they didn't sign on for Teen Court. Ring Nation will air on CW7 or WXSP just like Teen Court.

Ring Nation?
Boy, they have ran out of ideas in the syndication world. I'd rather see the affiliates air an old John Wayne matinee than this crap.

They should put older shows in syndication there's 70+ years of shows they could put in syndication instead of the same stuff every year or hours of court shows.
No. Most of the programs that have any value air on the likes of Antenna, Me and other bargain basement networks. Ancient sitcoms and dated dramas are not the way for *almost* any major station to actually do business now.

That and iCrime with Elizabeth Vargas. Someone on the other board couldn’t even find that on Google. 🤣

ICrime sounds like a show from Sinclair that aired for a couple of years True Crime or something at 2:30PM on CW7. Which CourTV aired on overnights and weekends as well. The company that owned it went out of business.

In Dallas-Fort Worth area, Relative Justice will move to CBS Television' KTXA-TV (TXA21) from Nexstar's KDAF-TV this fall.
It could move from WMYT (Nexstar) to WAXN (Cox). They’ve got a couple openings with thd cancellations of The Doctors and Judge Jerry.
