Why did Amp/Now Fail?

Booker whom use to be on air talent at Amp 97.1 is now paired with Stryker at ALT 98.7 and I remember some person named Bru.
Stryker did afternoon drive at 97.1 for some time. Casey McCabe was the night jock pretty much entirely through the station's run, I believe he is out in Chicago now. Booker was on middays, before being moved to afternoons, then morning.

I remember listening to 97.1 Amp when they first changed formats. Sounded really good. I know this was back in 2009 and Pop music was popular than it is now

Reconsider that, would you please? David has access to the BIA numbers and if he says KROQ is in 5th place for FM ad sales in the market it is a fact.
Remember, there are "practices" that stations use in allocating multi-station buys that will distort reality.

When I was directly involved with the two HBC stations in San Diego, they reported to Miller-Kaplan all combo sales as being split 50-50, when in fact KLQV had about half the ratings of the other station. That made the big station seem to bill less, and the lower rated one to bill more.

I think the idea there was to avoid making the bigger stations more of a target for a competitor. But the numbers were definitely distorted by the practice.

BIA does not take the M/K numbers directly and they use market feedback to create their own estimates.

Thanks for the clarification, David, but my point is still valid. No one should be questioning the validity of anything you post which is based on Nielsen, BIA, or any other industry database.
