From March 2019 to December 2021, 1470 WSAN in Allentown, PA had an all-podcast format, sourced from iHeartRadio content. Now it's a "Real Oldies" station.

Not all documentaries. They ran a lot of clips from TED Talks.

On major holidays, it's not unusual for the news networks (CBS News Radio and ABC News Radio) to offer affiliates news documentaries related to the holidays. It's easier for national news organizations to staff and produce these kinds of shows than local stations.

I think ABC Radio's "Perspective" is still around in 2 parts. My Sunday morning air shift at my first station included "Voices in the Headlines (which became "World News This Week" as the Information network switched up branding to match TV, and Perspective Part 1. The Contemporary network had Howard Cosell's "Speaking of Everything", and there was a replay of "Issues and Answers" (later "This Week with David Brinkley" the radio network sent down in the evening
