Ski reports on Cincinnati radio, 1980s

This is a memory that I don't even remember, but a family member insists it happened.

A family member says they recall hearing ski reports on Cincinnati radio in the 1980s - probably on WCLU when it was top 40. This wasn't for some local ski places but for ski resort towns in places like Colorado and Washington state. I remember CLU 132 having fishing and horse racing reports right in the middle of the day, despite what was otherwise a high-energy top 40 format. But I don't remember them having ski reports at all.

Does anyone here actually remember any Cincinnati station having ski reports?

The only Cincinnati station I get in Columbus is WLW, of course, but I don't remember them ever having ski reports.
Our local TV stations up here often would give conditions at Mad River Mountain, Clear Fork and Snow Trails during the weather segments and I definitely remember the Weather Channel doing so at 50 past the hour, the same time they devote(d) to tropical updates during the summer. They might still. The segment would show conditions at the nationally prominent resorts, then localized graphics would show conditions at resorts in Ohio and nearby states.

I don't remember any unless it was in a commercial for Mad River Mountain or Perfect North Slopes. I may vaguely remember a station I worked for elsewhere in Ohio carrying Michigan ski conditions. Or I could have imagined it. WOWO may have

Those sounders live in the memories of everyone who grew up in that era  I was 10 when that sound clip was recorded.
Snow Trails is just a little south of Mansfield. The old Clear Fork resort was nearby, I think a little farther south around Bellville. And honestly I did not realize Mad River Mountain had been open that long! Apparently it opened in 1962. Before I began skiing myself, I just knew Bellefontaine/Valley Hi/Zanesfield and MRM in particular as the de facto halfway point between my house and my grandparents.

And home of WTOO radio.

Yep. FM was WOGM as Beautiful Music, then simulcast a screamin' top 40 format, then spun that off to FM only as Stereo Too 98 while the AM went MOR.
