Welcome, DJCarmen. Let's hear about your experiences, opinions on radio stations and the like!

And thank you for your service.

Thanks for the info on RJ, I knew him vaguely, he was a pretty nice guy, but never really made it as big as he intended or portrayed himself as, sad, are you really Bob Charger.

No I am not Bob Charger. I did meet RJ one time in Wyndmoor PA late 90s. Where I worked at the time RJ and former top guy at KYW TV we’re trying to start WELL LP TV.
I was given a quick lunchtime tour of their studio which was in the original WQAL 106.1
Studio. The equipment was old Umatic stuff
Everything very old. At the time my son shot sports video for Abington HS and my son was asked to provide video for them. But their Low powered signal went nowhere. I remember they replaced the antenna hoping to have a working signal. It worked in my office but still never made it.

But that was my only interface with RJ.
My on air experience was with AFVN at one of the remote stations near Duc Pho actually 15 miles to the south. I did the overnight shift the orient express. I only did this for 3 months and returned to my shop at LZ Bronco.
