KOFY Ends Regular Programming.

Since KOFY-TV drop their syndications and added full time Grit TV network. Where will the syndications programs end up? Last Man Standing, Blackish, etc.
Blackish is most likely streaming only as the syndicated shows like Disney+ or Hulu. Last Man Standing goes to Hulu since Disney owns the show. Some of these syndicated shows that we're on KOFY-TV 20 prior to the Grit flip would be check who owns the show and which streamers are getting that show that's been removed from KOFY due to being flipped to GRIT.

When Granite owned TV 20 the station was then known as KBWB-TV in the stints between the James Gabbert era of KOFY-TV and the current KOFY-TV 20 when CBS got the CW affiliation for KBCW-TV.

During Granite's Management of TV 20 it was one of the largest WB affiliate that was not managed by Tribune Broadcasting in the early 2000's. The largest markets at time WB affiliations were managed by Tribune television the then owners of KTLA, WPIX and WGN.

Some of TV 20's ID's back in the 2000's resembled the design of KTLA back then.

Always wondered how that station could survive with just a low power signal ever since the repack. I could pick them up in Sacramento before that.

They have excellent carriage on Cable and Satellite. OTA is okay in the Bay Area with an on the Bay side.. Their problem was being one too many independents with a bad revenue year with the pandemic. It’s too bad someone didn’t pick them up a a duopoly like KGO-TV. It seems that Disney doesn’t do TV duopolies.

Disney is more interested in marketing their apps in a package like Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+. That definitely happened during the NBA finals.

Some of them may be streaming only like Law and Order SVU and Chicago Fire those shows would need to be checked in Peacock app. Blackish and Last Man Standing check the Disney owned apps for that one. The others I have no idea which apps are getting those shows.

Apparently KOFY-TV's offices are inside the KGO-TV/ABC7 building on Front
Street.

Nexstar also shares an office for KRON4 at the KGO-TV building.

Disney is largely inactive in local news buying TBH they most spending in their core entertainment and sports which is more appealing than ABC News, also why u only mention apps if didnt mention streaming sites with a dot com domain since Apple and Google charge u 30 percent taxes outside of their own services

Good point but then again OTA TV is going through uncertain times on how to adapt to the era of streaming.

If free to air is free how come affiliate groups rely on retrans? Name one young person bought an antenna... EW Scripps is trying to lure online only users to take a break from streaming by launching a web site
That is the model when Cable was the most viable way to get revenue. I cannot name anybody who bought an antenna directly but then again I took a look at the TV section at Best Buy and it is primarily Smart TV's on sale. But that is only a sample in my area.
