KBQF McFarland flips to Calor 104.3

104.3 KBQF had been a simulcast of 94.9 KXTT Taft, "La Mejor".
But recently it flipped to hispanic urban. The music is in Spanish but the station presentation is mostly English.

Some songs played are:

Anuel AA - La Jeepeta
Ozuna - Dile Que Tu Me Quieres
Zion and Lennox - Loco
Don Omar - Se Menea
Bad Bunny - Si Veo a Tu Mamá

Ahhh. Mystery solved... It's not "Calor 104.3" but "Kalor 104.3" . With that branding resolved we have a website complete with audio stream;

kalorlive.com

Interesting to note that the audio stream comes from an "ssl.radiolazer.stream" host, the same (named-resolved) host as all the Lazer Media audio streams. Now if JAB would stream their Redding area outlet...

Kalor 104.3 just added the Shoboy Show, a nationally syndicated program from Univision Radio Announcment here: https://tejanonation.net/2022/06/21...ands-coast-to-coast-with-four-new-affiliates/
Shoboy is not from Univision. That program comes out of Entravision.

That was a Freudian slip on my part. Entravision actually has really close relations with Univision. For example, Unimas LLC's WFDC-DT in Arlington, Virginia is LMA'd to Entravision, complete with the LMAer's logos. You will find staffers from both companies on-site there.

They are close in the TV arena, but definitely not in radio where they compete head-to-head in several markets.

Walter Ulloa, the founder of Entravision, was General Manager of the Univision Los Angeles TV station before starting his own company. Back when companies could only have 7 TV stations, Ulloa was encouraged to buy TV stations in other markets and add them to the Univision roster.
