WNPV coming back on the air

So 4 rivers owns it but its running ... what?
I'm hoping once I get my outdoor AM antenna situated tomorrow that I can get this.
So there's live content with DJs?
What time is that on?
Thanks,
John

Nothing has changed since spring of 2021. When the original WNPV signed off in 2020 it was reported the license was given to Four Rivers and the property sold to North Penn School District. After being dark a year, ‘someone’ put it back on the air with pre-recorded music tapes as a station might do when testing - but it never stopped. No djs, no commercials, Legal IDs. I expected they’d switch to Word FM but never did. Then I wondered if the school was operating it, but I’d expect to hear students on the air. if Four Rivers runs it, why are they using their donor’s money for pop music? The station is running at reduced power f the signal is worse than they were a 500 watt daytimer. Can’t find any information who is running this.

WNPV is currently licensed for 250 watts daytime and 23 watts nighttime, both non-directional. The owner of Four Rivers Community Broadcasting Corp. is listed as Charles W. Loughery of Harleysville, PA. So presumably he's the "someone" who's running the station.

Was in Cherry Hill today, they were listenable, even better than WSAN, funny thing, WMVB was no where around, at one time they did come in Camden County.

Is this the same person that owns The Word FM network?
If so I'm surprised that they're just running automated '80s music

That’s my thought too. If I were someone who contributed donations for the Christian programming on Word FM I’d question their spending the money running a non-commercial pop music station with no real identity.

So when you run networks, do you have to get the signal from off the air for a translator?
Like how could they pipe their Christian AC network to the AM, then to the FM translator?

According to the Word FM website they only have 1 AM, former Great Scott station WPAZ 1370 Pottstown with a translator on 103.5, which runs their Great Songs of the Faith new work that plays hymns, no djs. I thought that was a possibility for WNPV.

Back in the quieter DX days here, predicated on the GE SR loopstick, it used to be a magic mix of your favourite blends of variety.
WCDL Carbondale PA and WNPV.

@ wibgradio : Your mention of WMVB 1440 caused the ghost of a sneer here. We never heard them back near JFK Airport, despite their pattern being sort of a casual north-south schmoo. They were one of the scant one or two NJ AM's that eluded us.
