Memorabilia, Station Swag, Old Airchecks or Memories of 105.1 FM WVRY (Waverly, TN)??

Hello Radio Peers and Friends!

September 26, 2022 will mark the 50th Anniversary of 105.1 FM (originally WVRY) in Waverly, Tennessee. (Well, actually started as 104.9, I believe)

We are working to see if there are things floating around that some of you may have, know of or would be willing to share that would allow us to put together as we attempt to build an exhibit to honor the 50th Anniversary of the Station.

Any type of memorabilia you may have would be very much appreciated or any leads would be appreciated as well.

You may reach out to me here, or email me- [email protected] I would be thrilled to hear from you.

If I or any of our Family and Staff can help you or be of assistance, please feel free to reach out to us anytime.

Also, I promised I would keep everyone updated on our station.

Around 1993, WVRY was to have become part of the Tenn-Aire Communications family of stations, but that whole deal apparently fell through, and Tenn-Aire was apparently completely dissolved. I had moved away from Clarksville by then, so I don't really know whatever became of all of that. Do you have any information on that?

Interesting that I collect radio station memorabilia for the TN Radio Hall of Fame, and I have mostly items from middle and west TN stations, but I don't think that I have ever had ANYTHING from WVRY.

Hi there-I am not certain but I know a guy who would know. That would have been before Salem bought it in 1996. It seems to have always been tossed about quite a bit in the past, huh? I'll see what I can find out.

Okay, well thank you for responding. If you do happen to come across anything or know of anyone would does have anything, please let me know.

Thank you! Have a great day!
