More info regarding "Hail to the Chief" (9:30 on ABC, Ch. 2), it was produced with a similar format to the groundbreaking 1977-81 series "Soap", which was by the same producers Paul Junger Witt, Tony Thomas, and Susan Harris, the latter of which was also the creator. However, the series lasted only seven episodes, and that night's episode was its third.

That fall, WAGA would clear The $25,000 Pyramid on a half hour delay (keeping Press Your Luck off in Atlanta since they had Love Connection at 10). That lasted to January when CBS revived Card Sharks and WAGA cleared it in pattern. Jeopardy! moved to 4 in the afternoon.

Would love to see the schedule for the Saturday of that week
Here it is for you!

I always liked how WSB kept Ryan's Hope at 12:30 despite ABC moving Loving there. Other stations should have kept Ryan's Hope there (instead of Noon) and not displaced it for Loving...
I know that WOI in Des Moines aired Ryans Hope at 11 and Loving at 11:30. Once Ryan's Hope got canceled they aired Loving at 11:30 for awhile but replaced it with News at 11:30. 11am had Match Game, Ghrahm Kerr and other syndicated shows at 11am sometimes airing Loving at 11am but then taking it off for other shows. So Loving was on and off and on and off the schedule for the rest of the time it aired.
