Check it out. It's been like this for several weeks. I guess nobody from the station listens to the stream.
Wow, I thought someone in charge might have read this forum! But unfortunately the hum is still there. It's a low frequency 60hz AC hum so it might not be very noticeable on some devices.
As with many radio websites, the process is to "set 'em and forget' em." 😄
Maybe they SHOULD read these forums. They spend money on surveys when they might find useful opinions here for free.I cant believe people really think someone in charge might read a particular post in a particular sub forum on a very big website.. it happens now and then once in a blue moon but not very often. I never understood why posters "complain" here but wont take less time to email the station a quick note.

"Useful opinions" most often encountered here include flipping to oldies, flipping to smooth jazz, flipping to "something else" after one bad 6+ book, eliminating well-known and well-liked songs from playlists in favor of personal favorites by obscure acts, firing program directors every five or six months, and going live and local in all day parts. Still waiting for the first station to take any of that advice.Maybe they SHOULD read these forums. They spend money on surveys when they might find useful opinions here for free.
You never know if you don't try.And you think they'd pay any attention to an email? Try it and let us know how it goes.
I'll ignore the personal attack.
I figured those of you who care so much about WDRC would have emailed them by now, and that they would have jumped right on it and fixed the hum. Nope. I just checked.
So let's guess how long it will take for them to get the word and to resolve the problem.
I'll pick October 15th. Please place your bets!
That's an absolutely reasonable response. It addresses the issue and suggests a possibility I hadn't considered. I have no problem with that. You're assuming they didn't notice it and/or don't care. Maybe they did notice it and do care, but decided that the issue isn't severe enough to warrant calling an engineer right away to fix it.
It's NOT IMPORTANT to me. Don't you guys get that??If it's so important to you call an leave a voicemail for their engineer. His name is Scott Baron. 860-243-1115 is the phone number for Full-Power Radio's office in Bloomfield. I know that number without looking it up because I called it twice Sunday evening about problems with Kool Radio.
I forgot to check the stream on October 15th, but I did today. The loud hum and accompanying audio distortion is still there. It's been well over a month now, probably more like 6 weeks.![]()
