104.1 FM KTCG Sanger

An application was filed this morning certifying that the facility has been built out according to the construction permit. If it isn't on the air now, it should be very soon.

I am outside of the listening area. Can anyone there hear anything yet?

I THINK this is what I was getting on 104.1 in Thackerville over the weekend.
Thackerville is around 20 miles from the KTCG transmitter site, well within range for a good signal. It is also about 125 miles south of KMGL in OKC, so be aware of that if tropo is kicking up.

Google Street View images of the KTCG transmitter site from late 2021 appear to show an FM antenna at the top of the tower, so that was left in place from the previous operation. Guessing KTCG had to find a new transmitter...can't remember when the old KTDK shut down...

Looks like it was this month nine years ago.

I was hearing something that more or less reminded me of 104.9

Did they actually shut the translator off? It might be beneficial to keep it on to provide a stronger signal in southern Collin County.
They identified the AM, FM-HD2, and the translator last night, so it is possible/likely that all 3 are still on the air.

It's official, KTCG was granted a license to cover on 10/13. Let's see what $2.31 million buys... The answer - a remote Dallas rimshotter.

We'll shift the KTCG thread to here now that there is an L2C. Anyone have a website, audii stream or real RF stereo yet? The station will be able to sell into Denton but not the larger DFW core areas.. A C3 just has too small of a footprint. The original engineers admittedly did find the sweet spot for HAAT-vs-power for this one...
