Now if KJR AM & FM could just figure out how to keep from shoving a Westwood One, pre-taped, football in review show right in the middle of an actual NFL play-by-play. They did it with the London game last Sunday, wiping out most of the coverage. Then the London game reappeared in the last two minutes of play. They're only "beauty numbers" if you're near the top. If not, they're ugly.
Looks like the fans of KJR sports have found the FM signal. Or they're starting to.
KPLZ remains challenged half of what they were last fall. Not sure what is going on there, see lots of TV ads for them.
In the article you linked, when the writer said -- after talking about KJEB's cume -- that the market was "down 1.3%", what exactly does that mean? That total cume for all stations was down across the board? Or total cume was down in that demographic?![]()

Or something completely different?
Yeah, I noticed the Giants-Packers game was indeed aired in full, which was cool. I'm glad they remedied the glitch. There are people who are up at those hours who like hearing a football game if it's being played during that time of the day here in SEA.iHeart must have heard your plea, because KJR-FM aired Giants-Packers in full.
What happened last week is that the Westwood One canned programming (which is more preview than review) was aired by default because that's what KJR always puts in those timeslots. In any case, Westwood One is touting every live game available for free streaming on app or website, so I went to the website when Vikings-Saints cut out.
The sentence in question reads:In the article you linked, when the writer said -- after talking about KJEB's cume -- that the market was "down 1.3%", what exactly does that mean? That total cume for all stations was down across the board? Or total cume was down in that demographic?

Understood. Thank you sir, for the explanation. Makes more sense to me now.The sentence in question reads:
"KJEB remained on autopilot in the cume department despite a 6.2% decrease (614,600-576,800). The market was down 1.3%."
The 1.3% reference is to total market weekly cume for the Sept. 2022 period.
The Research Director, Inc. writeups for each market point out the top cume station with its corresponding
%-increase/decrease and month-to-month figures. They then give each market's overall cume %-increase/decrease.
This is just after giving the top age 6+ stations in each market.
After the cume info is given, they get to the more detailed demo rankings (25-54; 18-34; 18-49).
