September Beauty Numbers.

They're only "beauty numbers" if you're near the top. If not, they're ugly.

Looks like the fans of KJR sports have found the FM signal. Or they're starting to.

Go Mariners!!! What a dream season they've had...FINALLY! Fun listening to Rick Rizzs' PBP over the past couple of months. I hope Suarez, Rodriguez, French, Raleigh, etc. are ready for the Blue Jays.
Wasn't it like 2002, last time KIRO-AM was at #1? That was in the days of NewsTalk 710 and Dave Ross. Shows that AM can have some spikes when things get good...unlike what happened to KGO this morning.
The Sound WAY above Warm again, but down a share over last month. 94.1 still impresses me, with that 1970s-2010s soft rock mix...Delilah helps too.
In fact, Spirit 105.3 is tied with Warm.

101.5 in struggling mode again.

Now if KJR AM & FM could just figure out how to keep from shoving a Westwood One, pre-taped, football in review show right in the middle of an actual NFL play-by-play. They did it with the London game last Sunday, wiping out most of the coverage. Then the London game reappeared in the last two minutes of play.

Allaccess reports KEXP was number one 18-34 and 25-54. KIRO-AM number one overall and top 5 25-54 with KJEB, KQMV and KISW. Nice to see KJR-FM finally up a bit 25-54 and KPLZ remains challenged half of what they were last fall. Not sure what is going on there, see lots of TV ads for them.

Didn't KEXP have that same jump a year ago?

In the article you linked, when the writer said -- after talking about KJEB's cume -- that the market was "down 1.3%", what exactly does that mean? That total cume for all stations was down across the board? Or total cume was down in that demographic?

Or something completely different?

iHeart must have heard your plea, because KJR-FM aired Giants-Packers in full.

What happened last week is that the Westwood One canned programming (which is more preview than review) was aired by default because that's what KJR always puts in those timeslots. In any case, Westwood One is touting every live game available for free streaming on app or website, so I went to the website when Vikings-Saints cut out.

I'm guessing they're talking about the number of PPM meters being used was down 1.3% - Just a guess.

Yeah, I noticed the Giants-Packers game was indeed aired in full, which was cool. I'm glad they remedied the glitch. There are people who are up at those hours who like hearing a football game if it's being played during that time of the day here in SEA.

Fascinating that NFL football is as popular as it apparently is in London.

The sentence in question reads:

"KJEB remained on autopilot in the cume department despite a 6.2% decrease (614,600-576,800). The market was down 1.3%."

The 1.3% reference is to total market weekly cume for the Sept. 2022 period.
The Research Director, Inc. writeups for each market point out the top cume station with its corresponding
%-increase/decrease and month-to-month figures. They then give each market's overall cume %-increase/decrease.

This is just after giving the top age 6+ stations in each market.
After the cume info is given, they get to the more detailed demo rankings (25-54; 18-34; 18-49).

Understood. Thank you sir, for the explanation. Makes more sense to me now.
