Lizzo is classically trained, plays a mean jazz flute and has a sense of humor.I will answer you with a comparison. Mama Cass Elliott to Lizzo. Who would you rather your kids listen to or watch?
I like her.

SighTheir 'music' is but one reason I despise those people. I also despise opera but at least those people don't clown it up.
You are grossly misreading my posts. At no time have I ever said "I had the right to stop them" or anything of the sort. I said I don't like their music and, more importantly, despise the image they project as role models. We have more than enough losers in the world without promoting a cartoon clown who must have bypassed puberty and a morbidly obese and under dressed female exhibitionist
You are entitled to your opinion.Lizzo is classically trained, plays a mean jazz flute and has a sense of humor.

It's been several years. You know, the pandemic and all. Plus I have an aversion to large crowds in general.Out of curiosity, when was the last time you attended a public performance? In person.
They said the same thing about Elvis. What was it? About 60 years ago.You are entitled to your opinion.
I found her twerking with that glass flute very inappropriate and gross. I won't ever know how well she plays the flute because I won't watch her again.
As an actual millenial, thank you for saying this.Yikes.
You've just condemned the largest generation of Americans living today (72+ million), who are adults between the ages of 26 and 41.
So you're saying Gen Z does?As an actual millenial, thank you for saying this.
You sure you’re not confusing my generation with Gen Z, landtuna? Because we don’t strive to work at Burger King or any fast food joint as a life-long goal.
No. I’m trying to point out blatant generational stereotypes, albeit poorly worded. So you're saying Gen Z does?
Weren't the boomers (of which I am one, later edition) was supposed to have given us peace, love and harmony. We were and still are pains in everyone else's arse.No. I’m trying to point out blatant generational stereotypes, albeit poorly worded.
I would not call Shakey's plays "fine art". My personal cross is having one of his plays as my last name.My point is that the entertainment of the masses tends to become the fine art of later generations.
Mores were very different back then. And Elvis didn't appear topless or in his jock strap. AND he had a much better voice than does Lizzard. And IIRC he never topped 400 lbs. How popular do you think he'd have become as a grossly overweight singer dressed as a pole dancer? They said the same thing about Elvis. What was it? About 60 years ago.![]()
If you will re-read my post I inserted a disclaimer that noted there are many Millennials that don't fit the entire profile. But how else am I to define the millions of slackers? I say what I see.As an actual millenial, thank you for saying this.
You sure you’re not confusing my generation with some other generation like Gen Z, landtuna? Because contrary to what you may have heard/thought, we don’t strive to work at Burger King or any fast food joint as a life-long goal. You feel talking in generalizations about generations makes you more superior/the moral authority? Hmmm...where have I seen this before?
350 the final year of his life. Lizzo's 260.Mores were very different back then. And Elvis didn't appear topless or in his jock strap. AND he had a much better voice than does Lizzard. We all should know of his final days with his absurd eating habits, almost complete isolation and health issues. My wife saw him in concert 4 years before he died and said he was way overweight then. Apparently it got a lot worse. But at least he didn't do live performances almost nude or in street walker attire.350 the final year of his life. Lizzo's 260.
In 1977, did anyone? We all should know of his final days with his absurd eating habits, almost complete isolation and health issues. This article contains some very erroneous statements (example: Boomers II missing the whole Vietnam War). Very untrue. My ship was loaded with people of this age as were a ton of draftees and volunteers in other military services.Generations X,Y, Z and the Others

Carol Doda did (if you were close to the SF Bay Area). Not on the same level as Elvis but.....In 1977, did anyone?
Excellent point. I'm one year into Boomer II and missed having my draft number called in '74 by thatmuch. This article contains some very erroneous statements (example: Boomers II missing the whole Vietnam War). C'mon, Tuna. Carol Doda was a stripper, not a pop star. The closest she came to pop music was a cameo in the Monkees' movie, HEAD (which virtually no one saw).Carol Doda did (if you were close to the SF Bay Area). Not on the same level as Elvis but.....
That's what I meant about the declining level of mores over the past half century.
